It’s so versatile and can be used in a multitude of ways to make use of its amazing benefits, Here’s 35 suggestions to help you get the very best out of eucalyptus oil for your own personal use and around the home.   • Eucalyptus Oil Boosts the Immune System

Promote phagocytosis and boost immune cells by adding some eucalyptus oil to your diffuser or oil burner, or alternatively apply some lightly diluted to the soles of the feet every night (can be a stronger blend with a carrier oil than when usually applied topically as the skin is thicker and less sensitive on the feet). 

  • Eucalyptus Oil Clears the Sinuses

PIC2Add 1–2 drops of eucalyptus essential oil to a bowl of boiling water. Place a towel over your head and the bowl and deeply inhale for 5 to 10 minutes.

Try this easy chest rub recipe:
1/2 cup of coconut oil
1 tablespoon grated beeswax.
10 drops of eucalyptus oil
10 drops rosemary essential oil.
10 drops peppermint essential oil.

Simply mix well and store in an airtight container or tin and keep in a cool place. No beeswax? Simply substitute for more coconut oil. You can also replace the rosemary oil with more eucalyptus oil.

 Apply to chest,throat and back of neck. 

  • Eucalyptus Oil Relieves Earache

Dilute a 2-3 drops of eucalyptus oil in a teaspoon of carrier oil and apply to the outer part of the ear canal. 

  • Eucalyptus Oil Soothes a Sore Throat

Dilute 2-3 drops of eucalyptus oil in a teaspoon of carrier oil and apply to the throat (or use some of your homemade chest rub). Alternatively add some eucalyptus oil to your  diffuser as per the manufacturer’s instructions.

Add a couple of drops of eucalyptus oil to a wet cloth and wipe over the surface of your taps, electrical goods to remove grease and grime. To avoid streaking, dry it off with a clean microfibre cloth. 

  • Eucalyptus Oil Removes Chewing Gum 

PIC8Remove chewing gum from hair, carpets, clothes, shoes, etc. For hair, soak the connected strands in eucalyptus oil and gently slide the gum off the hair. For other items, scrape as much off as possible and then remove the remaining gum using a cloth soaked in eucalyptus oil. Wipe clean with a damp cloth. A patch test is recommended before applying to fabric.

  • Eucalyptus Removes Stubborn Spots from Walls and Furniture

Add a couple of drops of eucalyptus to a damp cloth to remove stubborn spots from walls, doors and furniture, such as blu tack or sellotape residue, biro marks, grass stains, etc. 

  • Eucalyptus Oil Removes Sticky Residue

Add a couple of drops of eucalyptus to a damp cloth to remove  the sticky residue (such as from the main label or price sticker) on jars, other glass and cellophane. Wipe clean with a damp cloth. A patch test is recommended before applying to paint, varnish and fabric. 

  • Eucalyptus Oil Removes Grease from the Hands

Mix together some salt (Epsom, Himalayan or even common table salt) with a few drops of eucalyptus oil and use it to scrub the hands and effectively remove all grease, dirt and grime.
